The Rock of CashelBy: Kingsley Only hours ago did Muirchertach Ua Briain, king of Munster, give the Rock of Cashel to the church. This struck conflict amongst the church attendants because of the castles history. It is known throughout the land that “The Rock” was originally home of Satan. He came to the castle after St. Patrick banished him from a cave. So the Rock of Cashel is actually the home of the devil. This struck controversy when a mere peasant brought up the story of St. Patrick and Satan. Some people say that Satan is gone and will never come back. Others think that he still lives in the castle and they can hear his shallow moaning from time to time. The most recent blacksmith of the castle claimed he heard the devil howl while he was in the dining hall. But no one really knows the true story accept king of Munster himself Ua Briain. Muirchertach Ua Briain is the king of Munster. Muirchertach Ua Briain gave the Rock of Cashel to the church because of everyone hassling him about religious purposes. Also he is a very faithful man, and gave into this peer pressure immediately. Ua Briain gave in because of the recent stress that is now upon him. You may have heard his name in the news recently. There was an article written of him just two moons ago about his recent whereabouts. It is true that Ua Briain and Magnus Barefoot, king of Norway, were once alliances. Ua Briain’s daughter even married Barefoot’s son. But Magnus was recently killed by an Irish army ambush in Ulster. After his death Magnus’ son’s marriage was disavowed weakening the alliance of Norway and Munster. The only thing ua Briain thought to do was declare himself High King of Norway. The Rock is now under construction, for the new editions recommended by the Pope. POPE CALLS FOR CRUSADESir William Fyre EUROPE - Today Pope Urban the 2nd decided to call for a fight to take back Jerusalem. “It’s the will of God!” he proclaimed in a speech that moved even the lowest of peasants. Afterwards the peasants got up and marched home to tell everyone they knew. “This is the biggest thing that has happened since Antoine Lo’Arc accidently tripped his cow!” exclaimed one of the Maids, who were standing and listening from the outside. “This is what God declares!” Cries Peter, a hermit, as a small army echoes him. The army was made of mainly peasants and lords, unlike the army of knights that was set to leave on August 15th. “How dare they take our Holy City,” states Adhemar of Le Puy, who was reportedly, the first person to take up the oath to free the Holy City and support anyone who is in the crusade. “The response was even larger than I expected” said the surprised Pope, who had only been expecting ⅓ of the actual amount of people to respond. He met just earlier this week to talk about the Holy city with a group of princes. There have already been attacks on Jewish people here in France, as many people hear the message. “I heard and wanted to join the crusades, but i thought better and decided our enemy is already here in our towns” states Bernard Dre’Oc, a blacksmith who heard the message but didn’t want to leave his home town. Many of these revolts forced Jewish people out of their homes into exile or the Christians killed them in their houses and took their money. AdsAd by Edward Plythes
