Monarchy: The Best Form of GovernmentBy:Cheslie Brumfield
Many have said that our form of government should be changed, but clearly the monarchy that we have now is the best form of government. Under the rule of the King we are the safest and most in order. The king knows what is best for us and is truly the only one who is great enough to rule us. Others may argue that a democracy is a better form of government, but here is why it is not. In a democracy the people get too much freedom. The power is in the hands of the people who do not always know what is best. There is a huge amount of citizens and the bigger it gets the harder it gets to vote and keep track of everyone who is voting. This leads to fraud votes and us upperclass men and women will have to deal with the needs of the peasants, which do not matter as much as ours. It is very inefficient; it does not keep everyone informed or interested in our issues. Those who do not know well enough, especially the peasants, might make a decision that will hurt all of us, especially since there are so many of them. Also they have more time to go to meetings and can have a bigger influence on the votes. Their needs will be met rather than ours. Is that fair to us at all? Of course not. Our King loves our country thus making it much more patriotic. Because of his great love for our country, he will do his best to make sure our country is at its best. Not only is the monarch very patriotic but he is qualified for his position. Because monarchs are born into monarchs they have lived a rich, healthy lifestyle band are taught manners, good governing, to be obedient and to be patient. It is also much more efficient and quick for the monarch to make a decision rather than having to go through other governing bodies, which slows down the process. Unlike a president, the king represents a whole society/nation rather than just a political party. Also, monarchies are the foundation for any living civilization and when monarchies are destroyed the whole country erupts in chaos. In monarchies, it has been proven that it provides equal opportunities to all the citizens instead of a particular group holding power. Like in a Military dictatorship where the army holds power or a Presidential Republic where a political minority holds power. Monarchies are much more politically stable for long term issues. In other forms of government there are usually two or more different political parties so when the next election occurs and the party fails the goals for which they were originally striving for are ruined, but in a monarchy this doesn't happen because the king rules for life. To add to this, because there are different political parties each have different issues of interest; what is important to one party might not be as important to another which then does not deal with the issues at hand. For the good of the country and the people in it, the monarchy we currently have is best. It meets the needs of all of us and we don’t have to worry about the ill informed peasants making decisions that will hurt us. Our king knows what is right and loves our country enough to make sure it is functioning in the best way possible. Our monarchy is much more efficient, politically stable and fair than any other type of government. |
Peasants: Such a NuisanceBy: Lady Arabella
Living all throughout the land, peasants are smelly, dirty, begging, ordinary people who have nothing better to do than to care about themselves. They go around the street begging and living a life of such blandness. On this land, such actions should not have to be tolerated by the upper-class people who live a wonderful, civilized life of luxury. In a study to collect data on how many upper-class people prefer to get rid of the lowly peasant population, about 60% agreed. The noble people of the kingdom should no longer have to live with the vermin that squabbles around the streets. About more than half of the total population in the Middle Ages was made up of these terrible people. Being of more royalty and nobility, those higher than the urchins have a right to live without them. Living here, those peasants show no care for the lives of those who are much more important than them. Peasants are dirty, selfish people who seem to care about nothing more than how their own lives are being spent. First of all, peasants are dirty folk who only worry about the food they can grow or the crafts they can build. These unworthy people are divided into three classes among themselves. In a study, about 55% of peasants are slaves, about 40% are serfs, and about 5% are freemen. The majority of the peasant population are farmers who only grow crops for themselves. Their land varies in about 100 to 1000 acres. Every once in awhile, they come to the market to sell their worthless crops and gain more money for themselves. Many peasant also become craftsmen to build unholy objects of no use. Some of these useless items include benches, tools, pots, cups, and wooden spoons. These low-class people use these objects as part of their everyday life. As it has been shown, peasants live a life full of work just to get food on their table and they show no care for the other nobles around them. Another reason to get rid of peasants is because they show little respect for their most sacred religion. In a survey, it had been clear that about less that 50% of the peasant population are present at important religious festivals at a consistent rate. Their excuse is that it had been a very busy day or that they could not afford to come to one of these most sacred festivals. These urchins also say that they take their religion very seriously, but as it’s shown, it’s clear that they do not. The church has very strict rules and if they are broken, the punishments are severe as some of the peasants have found out. Also, these people are sometimes forced by their fear into coming to the church. They are afraid that if they do not, their hardships will become more difficult. After all, the peasants deserve to be frightened if they continue to not show their commitment to the church. Overall, as it has so clearly been pointed out, peasants are worthless vermin who do not deserve to walk amongst the greatest people of the upper-class. They are dirty, useless, beggars who are not fit to live with nobles. They seem to only care about their farmland, their crafts, and their own lives. With little commitment toward the church, these people spend their time living their own lives as to keep away from others. It has been shown that the plurality of the upper-class agree to get rid of these people. All in all, it would be better if the land was rid of these ordinary, selfish, uncivilized people who only care about the wellbeing of themselves. |
