Don’t Bathe if You Want to Stay Alive!
Antony Wilson
4/24/1279 Bourges, France Bathing has become a very popular subject of conversation. And for some reason has become something that all the wealthy have chosen to promote and do. Bathing is most commonly known to be the act of washing the dirt, grime, and other substances off of the body. But what most wealthy people who bathe don’t know is that all of the dirt, grime, and other substances protect your body from terrible diseases. All of the substances protect the body and keep it from getting sick and well.....dieing. So why do only wealthy people bathe. It’s because clean water is very hard to get and is mostly needed for drinking. Also you need a lot of it to bathe and get all of the substances off your bodies. But what do you do with the water once all the substances are off the body and in the water. You can’t reuse it and you definitely can’t drink it so it just becomes a waste of precious water. And we all know that there is not enough water to use. Do you want to die? I mean I’m pretty sure that no one wants to die but that is exactly what you are doing if you are bathing. Once you wash away the layers of dirt and grime it leave you skin vulnerable and stripped of its moisture. This leaves it more porous and much more susceptible to diseases and sickness. I know that people love to be “clean” but if you are getting so sick that you are nearly dieing is it really worth it. Is it worth it to be on the verge of death just to smell like a pretty flower. |

Jousting... Is it really safe?
Sir Thomas of Narnia III 2/7/124, London, England Jousting has rapidly become the most popular sport in Europe. Thousands of people attend jousting tournaments and matches every week of the season. But what people don’t realize is what harms this new sport does to the bodies of the knights. Not only is Jousting one of the most popular sports in Europe, but it is also the leading cause of sports-related injuries. During the 1245-1246 season, knights sustained more than half a million injuries in Europe. A study conducted by researchers in the Center for Injury Research (CIR) at the National Hospital of England, is the first to compare injuries among knights using a continentally representative sample. According to the study, published in the August issue of The European Journal of Sports Medicine, two hundred fifty-seven out of every 1,000 jousting exposures resulted in an injury. The European Jousting League (EJL) knights have a high likelihood of sustaining a great amount of season-ending injuries, such as fractures and concussions. As you can see, many injuries to the knights are caused by this new popular sport that we call “Jousting”. After reading this, do you think you should rethink letting your son joust when he becomes an older lad like yourself? _____________________________________________________

Jousting
Cristopher elm 2/7/124, London, England The jousting tournaments should be held without spears, instead with long sticks with boxing gloves, so that the opponent has a bigger chance of survival. they have to ride around on horses and point spears at each other, that is bad, what should happen is that the opponent should ride at the other knight and then smack him on the head, just knock him down, not ride at each other, and try to kill.
