Ayesha'sHOW DOES KING LOUIS AND ELEANOR OF AQUITAINE'S MARRIAGE GET RUINED??
By: Ayesha Sharif King Louis and Eleanor of Aquitaine have been married for a while now but everyone can see that there marriage has been getting a little rough, there not the same love birds they were in the beginning of their marriage. Ayesha:So I sat down with King Louis and asked him how he felt when he first met Eleanor? What was going through his head the first time he met her? Louis: The first time was the best day of my life, I remember it like it was just yesterday,(sigh) I was sleeping in the tent when Abot Sugar woke me up and told me to get ready, I washed up wore my best clothing and rushed out I was so worried that she would be ugly or fat that I forgot to wait for the rest of the men.(he laughs) Abot Sugar was right behind me when the door opened she was standing there...and she looked...perfect. I was mesmerized by her beauty. She looked confident, beautiful, and just perfect. Ayesha: What did you say the first time you met her, were you nervous to talk to her, was she nervous to talk to you? Louis: (he Laughs) My was I scared, I was almost about to turn around when I saw how she looked, I couldn’t say a word to her I just looked like a fool who couldn’t stop staring at her,(he laughs again) Eleanor however was very confident she looked me right in the eyes and said “ We both could have done worse”. Ayesha: Thats a little harsh don't you think? Louis: Not really, at least she didn’t call me ugly flat out, plus I kind of deserved it I did think Eleanor was going to be old and fat and then when I met her I realized I was way off.( He laughs slowly). Ayesha: Anyway, what changed between the two amazing love birds that were the talk of the country? Louis: (looks down and then to the mirror to his left) Well that is rather personal but, if Eleanor were here she’d probably tell that I was a horrid husband who didn’t care for her. But the truth is that as much as I loved her she didn’t love me back. Ayesha: Why do you say she didn’t love? Are you sure she didn’t just stop loving you? Louis: You are quite funny, you don’t just stop loving someone you never loved, I know this because I always tried to make her happy I listened to her every need, I gave her everything. But...in the end I was just a puppet for her. I was way too boring for a girl like her; for a girl of such “high needs” Ayesha: I am sure everyone wants to know, How did and eleanor...separate? we are not allowed to be...divorced Louis: Ah I was waiting for when you were going to ask, well you know how we can not marry our cousins well. Eleanor knew about this and she used it against me, and said that we are cousins, so technically our marriage was not ‘legal’ after that we realized that we had to go our own ways so she left and I left Ayesha: One last question How did you feel about all of it everything Eleanor said? Louis: I was shocked, betrayed, and just furious. But then I realized this is gods way of saying she is not the right person to be with and I realized he was right because she gave me two daughter. whom I love dearly. but no son; no one to leave the kingdom to. She was the reason I killed a whole village. I think this was the one thing Eleanor did right for once. So there you all have it this is how they both separated. Also we have found the truth about the so called amazing ‘Eleanor of Aquitaine. |

My special Guest Star of today is from the middle ages! This Duchess is Eleanor of Aquitaine from France! Eleanor how’d you feel about Marrying king Louis? Eleanor’s Answer: I only married him because he had a lot of land and money. I felt if I married him I would have enough power to satisfy my needs. I felt a little flabbergasted on marrying him, I have never met him nor do I know anything about him. I only knew his family had power and money! I was very young at the time, it was mostly since my father's passing was so close to the marriage. Interviewer: Sounds to me that you only married him for money and power. Next question when you met King Louis what were your first thoughts? Eleanor’s Answer: I thought he was a very wonderful person; he was nice and good looking. You can’t forget that at the time I was getting married was the age of fifteen. It was my choice; once my father died I felt I would lose my power. King Louis had a lot of money and land so I would gain it all back. He was a perfect suit for me. Interviewer: Your first thoughts were good but the changed as you went along. Understandable, what did you think of Louis’s mom? Eleanor’s Answer: I felt she didn’t like me so, once I married Louis I thought she would leave us alone. She had thought that I was flightily and I had a bad influence over Louis. She felt that Louis and I hadn’t connected while we were married. She often thought I was a bitter human being. She moved out, because I had power over her, and I basically threw her out. Interviewer: Okay, I understand now that your feelings for her weren’t the best. Why did you and Louis get a divorce? Eleanor’s Answer: So King Louis had introduced me into his uncle Raymond. Raymond was by far better looking then Louis. I got attached to Raymond but, Louis wasn’t allowing me to get a divorce from him. Raymond and Louis had gotten into a fight about which holy land they were going to capture. I had sided with Raymond to capture Edessa. Louis wanted to take me back to France, i forced To divorce him. I had found a way to divorce him, i had gone to the church. I said our marriage wasn’t legal because i was his cousin. After that Henry and I got a divorce. Interviewer: I see so this man Raymond was a very appealing person to you. How long did it take for you to find King Henry? Eleanor: It was actually fairly quick before i met henry. I was very happy when i met henry as well. I thought me and henry had a lot better connection than me and Louis. Henry was also absolutely Gorgeous! Henry and I had very beautiful children as well. We had 8 children in total 5 boys and three girls. Interviewer: I see, before the divorce how did Louis feel about you and his kids? Eleanor: I had loved them dearly, they were two splendid daughters. Louis on the hand was angry because he couldn’t give his throne to them. Thus there was no rightful heir to throne. In france at the time girls couldn’t be rulers, so Louis was very disappointed. Louis had loved them but not like he would have loved to have his own son. Interviewer: Did you ever compare the two kings to one in another? Eleanor: As a matter of fact I did. Louis was a wonderful man with lots of money and power. He wasn’t the best looking man to me. He and I would often disagree on a lot of things. I always had to get my way. All out he was a very nice man. Henry was Gorgeous had power and money. He was also the next king of england. I felt me and Henry had a lot more of connection then Louis and I did. Interviewer: Seems to me you like Henry much more than Louis. Well folks thats all the time today, see you next time. Today in the Castle of Camelot there was a big archery tournament! Archers from all over traveled to be in this big extravaganza. We saw Robin Hood, Bow Jackson, “Quick Shot” Carl Johnson, even the king had participated in this tournament. Each Shooter had to face off against another. Each round you got 3 shots. The winner would be the person with best shot. Robin Hood couldn’t be stopped, he was unbelievable. He ended up winning the whole thing! He hit three bulls-eyes in one round. Many thought he was cheating, he wasn’t he was just too good. The kings had crowned him winner and gave him a new bow, arrows and money! Good Job Robin Hood! |
