The First Crusade By: Lady Antebellum (Bella Rolon)
The Crusades
In 1096, there was a military expedition by Roman Catholic Europe to regain the Holy Lands. It was started on November 27 1095, by Pope Urban the second. During the Crusades, knights and peasants from different places in Western Europe traveled by sea, first to Constantinople and then towards Jerusalem, the peasants greatly outnumbered the knights. The peasants and the knights were split up into different armies, the peasants didn’t fight very well because of the lack of combat skills, as the knights were, so their army failed to reach Jerusalem. When the knights arrived in Jerusalem, they launched an assault on the city, and captured it on July 1099, massacring many of the Jewish and Muslim townspeople.
Are You Safe From the Salem Witch Trials? By: Lady Antebellum (Bella Rolon)
A drawing of the Salem Witch Trials
If you are, then you might want to check again. The Salem Witch Trials are a series of hearings and prosecutions of people accused of witchcraft in colonial Massachusetts. The preliminary hearings in 1692 were conducted in a variety of towns around Salem. I got more information about this by asking some people what happens in the trials, and how they feel about it. Robert Calef is a writer who tells us what happens, “And now Nineteen persons having been hanged, and one priest to death. And Eight more condemned, in all Twenty and Eight, of which above a third part were Members of some of the Churches of North England. More than half of them of a good Conversation in general, and not one cleared; about Fifty having confessed themselves to be Witches, of which not one Executed; above an Hundred and Fifty in Prison, and Two Hundred more accused; the Special Commissioner of Oyer and Terminer comes to a period.” And that’s what basically happened at the Witch Trials. Now lets talk to Governor Williams Phips, "When I put an end to the Court there were at least fifty persons in prison in great misery by reason of the extreme cold and their poverty, most of them having only spectre evidence against them and their evidence being defective, I caused some of them to be let out upon bayle and put the Judges upon consideration of a way to relieve others and to prevent them from perishing in prison, upon which some of them were convinced and acknowledged that their former proceedings were too violent and not grounded upon a right foundation. The stop put to the first method of proceedings hath dissipated the black cloud that threatened this Province with destruction.” And there you have it two real interviews about the Salem Witch Trials.

Here is a photograph of the Sword in the Stone, before it was pulled out by Arthur.
Here’s an unbelievable story about, a young boy that was found with the sword in the stone, and claims to be the King. The boy’s name is Arthur well King Arthur now, is to be the King of New England. “I was only trying to look for my brother Kay’s sword, and I found the sword in the stone. That’s when I gave it to my brother, and my father found out that the sword was from the stone.” Arthur said. “So, that’s when I asked him where he got it, and it was from the Sword in the Stone. I was suspicious at first because, why would Arthur out of every other person like my great son Kay, would become a King?” Arthur's stepfather said. There you have it are new King, and his name is King Arthur.
