The Medieval Social Pyramid, Where Are you In The Pyramid? At the top of the pyramid is the pope/church. Then there’s the Monarch. Next it’s the nobles. After that there’s the knights and vassals. Next there’s the merchants, farmers and craftsman. Finally, there’s the peasants and serfs. It was impossible for a peasant or a serf to become a noble or anything higher because the peasant or serf wasn’t of noble blood. It could become a farmer, merchant or craftsman if they had talent or skill.
There was also a social pyramid inside the church. The head of the church was The Pope. Then it was the Bishop. Next it was there was the Arch Bishop. After that there was the Archdeacon. Then there’s the Abbot which is followed by the prior, Dean and the Monks. Today I was walking down the street and I saw a peasant who was begging for money. I asked him why he needed money and he said so he could buy armor so he could become a noble knight but everybody in the town knew that it would be a challenge because he wasn’t of noble blood. Many people in the town are looking forward to the day where everybody will be treated equally. |
Man Loses His Head Over GuillotineToday I was in town when I noticed that some men in hoods came. They came with a young man whose eyes were as bloody as satan himself. He looked like he was crying for days. I didn’t really know what was going to happen to him. They were walking to him to a guillotine. He had no emotion in his empty body. Nobody was crying or yelling at him. The crowd had no emotion. They were just looking at him. He walked up the stairs to the guillotine. The executioners were going to put his head down so he could take his punishment.
I asked a man in the crowd why the young man was going to be executed. He told me that the young man was speaking against the king and his ways. The punishment was straight up execution. I was shocked. What has the world come to. We should have the right of freedom of speech. I hope that someday the people will come to their senses and things will be different. |
Kings Are Too SpoiledKings are straight up slobs. They have everything they ever wanted. They have gold, clothes, a good house and anything they ever wanted. They have servants who serve him 24/7. I think it’s time that the kings should realize that you can’t just have everything they want. It isn’t fair how kings are spoiled while there are people who are on the streets with no money and babies whose parents had been sold to slavery.
Also, I hate how kings have all the power. Haven’t you ever heard of power to the people? Yeah, that’s right, we have the power not you! I think if nobody’s going to do anything about what’s going on then I think we, the people, should do something about it. We should rebel against the king and remove him from the throne. We need to teach that spoiled pig a lesson that he will never forget! In conclusion we need to find a way to get out of this awful time. We should not spend our whole life struggling just because the king is dumb as hell. We should spend our life just the way we intended it to be. We should enjoy this life because life is the best gift anybody can recieve. |
