The Plague is spreading and it started in Constantinople. People are constantly coming down with this and if you see people with symptoms of this deadly disease try avoiding those in which you see with this problem. The king is offering to help anybody who shows these symptoms. We last heard that three of the five kings died of this plague. Hosted Jousting Tournament
There is going to be a hosted jousting tournament and it is going to be exhilarating. We are going to have medieval knights from all over to come and battle it out for your entertainment. It is going to take place in the jousting arena and it is all going to happen on the 16th of May. This is going to be the biggest main event of the century. I looking towards seeing everyone there and I hope you enjoy it. We will let you in on the next one.
Well, of course they were! First of all the crusades were a series of wars taking place in Asia Minor and the Levant between 1095 and 1291, in which Western European nations engaged using the propaganda of religious expeditionary wars. So therefore I think the crusades were a good idea because I don't really see anything wrong with having a christian holy war. Additional to that making jerusalem safe for defenseless pilgrims was worthwhile goal.
Interview with Monk: Shang Pou
Q. Who are you and what do you do for a living? A. My name is Shang Pou and we Monks practice asceticism.
Q. Why do Monks shave their heads? A. We shave our heads to show our commitment and devotion.
Q. Why do you guys have a rule of silence? A. It is a spiritual practice recommended in a variety of religious traditions for purposes including facilitation of approaching diety and achieving elevated of spiritual purity.
Q. Why do you read passages from the bible during meals? A. We do that so not only they feed their bodies but they also feed their souls.
Q. Why is prayer so important to you monks? A. Praying is so important to us because it is our most important job both privately and communally.
Q. What are the roles for the nuns? A. Well the nuns do a lot of prayer along with some spinning, weaving, and teaching but they also did washing, and cooking for the monasteries and also provided wine, ale, and honey.
Q. How did you get the name known as the monks? A. The term monk is generic and in some religious or philosophical traditions it therefore may be considered interchangeable with other terms such as ascetic.
