I have recently traveled to the village of Harpenwood to view what is supposed to be a well respected play. What I saw definitely lived up to its expectation.
The play was called “Lady of the Manner”. It stars only seven actors, But they don’t seem to struggle with the idea of a small cast. They are a renowned cast with amazing talent.
The plot of the play is that a woman by the name of Victoria is very rich and loved by many. But when a deal with a mysterious man goes wrong, Victoria’s life is in danger. She was locked in her manner without getting a chance to say goodbye to anyone or a plea for help. Her only hope is for a knight to save her from her manner. She has been having feelings for Knight Jeremy, and the feelings are mutual. Jeremy, realizing that Victoria is missing, sets out to defeat the evil and save his love.
The actors were phenomenal and delivered a breathtaking performance. I felt that I was involved with the story since it put me in a trace. I give the play four and a half stars. The only complaint I have is that it lacked a tad in costuming and makeup. Overall, the show was a success!

ENGLAND - Yesterday, Sir Andrews and Sir Adamson competed against each other in a jousting tournament. After over an hour of competing, Sir Andrews lost to Sir Adamson.
Sir Andrews began to tire after 40 minutes, and it was then that it became apparent that Sir Adamson would emerge victorious.
Sir Adamson, however, was at a huge disadvantage because his horse, Fred, is two and a half hands shorter than Sir Andrews’ horse, Apricot. This did not seem to make a difference, as Sir Adamson is one of the most skilled jousters in the area.
Sir Andrews fled the site of the tournament after his embarrassing fall from Apricot. He reported to us that he would never joust again; this makes his lord very unhappy.
Sir Adamson is preparing for a tournament against Sir Felix. He wishes the best of luck to Sir Andrews.
A Review of the Court Jester of London
By Ellen Hardcastle
A court jester doing it’s job
Recently, the royal family of England inquired that a new court jester was to entertain their court. The old court jester, Philip the Fool died in a carriage accident and it was now a need for new entertainment to be presented to the royal court.
Court Jesters have been used for years and years, entertaining the masses with their funny looks and devilish tricks. A court without a jester was absolutely unheard of and it was much of a disgrace of the royal family not to have one.
They searched throughout the whole land and finally the best of the best was called and hundreds throughout the land came to London that fateful day to enjoy the entertainment of such a great jester.
Somebody must had hoodwinked the royal family then.
In short, the new and hopefully fired, court jester was a flop. As the feast was first being served, he crashed into a servant who was presenting the hogs head. It was quite a sight as the delicious hog head flew across the room and onto Lady Helena of Yorkshire’s lap. Lady Helena let out a shrill scream and was promptly excused from the feast to her guest quarters to get a change of clothes.
Many eyes were on the nervous King John who glared dirtily at the new jester. His wife, Queen Isabella, calmed him down with a gentle hand to the shoulder.
Once the hog’s head was salvaged, the presentation began. It was all a hush as the nerve racked jester came to the center of the court and presented himself with a high nasally voice, “Hello to you all, my name is Bob the Snob and I am here on the behalf of the most loyal king and his faithful wife.” He turned to the two monarchs. “I hope you enjoy my service to your household.”
All eyes were on Bob the Snob as he took three oranges from the hands of nobles. They all hastily snapped at him but Bob the Snob seemed not to care. From there, Bob started to juggle the bright fruit. It was off to a great start but suddenly he stopped and started to throw the oranges at the heads of the many guests in the room;
Chaos erupted and many hid under tables as more fruit ricocheted off the walls and tapestries. Bob the Snob had suddenly started to foam at the mouth and King John had to call for his knights to take away the fool.
“He’s being possessed by the devil!” somebody yelled as the chaos slowly died down.
“No!” somebody else yelled. “He’s a wizard! We must burn him at stake!”
“Calm down!” Queen Isabella shouted. Suddenly the crowd went silent at the Queen’s sudden outburst. “There will be no talk of wizards and possessions here! We are here to enjoy a feast, so we shall!”
She took a seat next to her husband and they exchanged a small smile as their hands linked and soon the feast commenced without any other interruption.
But in the end, all of us in England sure hope that the monarchs will choose more wisely in their entertainment.
