Kid Becomes King of Britain- Sir Humphrey Bacon IV, Camelot AD 1113Earlier this day we have witnessed a phenomenon of gaining a new king of Britain. Many strong knights have tried to pull the sword from the stone, but no one has succeeded. A young boy named Arthur just grabbed the sword and left. His father was shocked and told him to put the sword back to see if he could pull it out again. To everyone’s surprise, he did.
Apparently the king was not meant to be the strongest, like everyone originally thought. Arthur was destined to be king. He clearly was not nearly as strong as many of the knights who tried. Of course, though, he needed witnesses besides his father and brother. They went back to show everyone. After the sword was put back, a few knights did one last try at the sword, but it did not move one bit. Then Arthur came in front of a crowd, and effortlessly pulled it out, so he is our new king. Long live the king. |
Sir Lancelot & Queen Guinevere Caught in Bedchamber- Lady Flora Brereton ˛Camelot AD 1136Last Saturday, Queen Guinevere and Lancelot were discovered together in the Queen’s bed chamber. This affair has been going on for quite some time, and Lancelot and Guinevere have both been completely in love, despite the fact that Guinevere is married to Arthur. Mordred and Agravain found them, and then told King Arthur. Lancelot fled with his brothers, Sir Lionel and Sir Bors away to the unknown.
Guinevere has been recently abducted by Meleagant. He captured her while she was out a-maying with her ladies and knights. She was incredibly terrified. She was greatly relieved when Lancelot rescued her. He brought her back to Arthur, and Arthur was relieved and not at all suspicious. Guinevere had just been through a terrible ordeal, and was highly emotional. All she wanted was to be with her rescuer, the man who she couldn't help but love. Mordred and Agravain overheard them make plans and wanted to expose their affair and see them punished. Arthur was doubtful, so Mordred and Agravain stood outside Guinevere’s bedchamber. While Lancelot and Guinevere were in the bedchamber, Agravain pounded on the door, threatening to break it down. When they finally let him in, he charged at Lancelot. Lancelot, unarmed, pushed him away; killing him. This led to a great upset among the knights, with Mordred getting very angry. Several knights have disappeared, and Arthur suspects that they have gone to join Lancelot. Arthur’s anger and pressure from Agravain’s close friends will most likely lead to a huge war; the knights supporting Arthur on one side, and the knights who are still loyal to Lancelot on the other. Before they were discovered, Lancelot and Guinevere’s love was so immense and so incredible that they betrayed Arthur. Arthur was furious when he heard the news. He loved Guinevere so much, but Guinevere has never been able to return that love. Arthur’s constant absences and royal duties keep him busy and unable to love Guinevere. According to Guinevere, Lancelot has been there for her from the start, and she could not help loving someone so handsome and kind. Lancelot, often referred to as the best knight in the world, was Arthur’s best friend, and there is no one who Arthur respected more than Lancelot. Their relationship will never be the same again; Arthur will never look at Guinevere with the same love and trust and he will never respect Lancelot again. The pain that he is feeling is too much. Guinevere’s official trial will take place on Sunday. Guinevere has been a noble and wonderful queen, and the people will be sad to see her condemned. There is no doubt in Arthur’s mind that Lancelot would rescue Guinevere, even if it means risking his own life and killing many of the soldiers who used to be his friends. A war is approaching, a war unlike no other. A war started by love. This war will split up the knights of the Round Table, and Camelot will never be the same again. |

The Great Civil War- Lord Sunday, Sundgau (Swabia) AD 1232Sunday the 19th of March, in the year of our lord 1232 the Great Castle Mäckerbourg, Alsace was sacked by the armies of the Holy Roman Emperor. The sacking effectively ended the twenty-year civil war that ravaged the Duchies of Swabia, Burgundy, and Bavaria. About 120000 civilian and military casualties were counted in the war and about 60300 people displaced and 200000 ducats (Medieval Money) were spent in the war.
The war began in the year of our lord, 1222. The war concerned the succession of the Duchy of Burgundy with both claimants being the King of Italy and Duke of Hanover (Estiano Gabona) and the Duke of Swabia, Bavaria and Holy Roman Emperor (Guillevere de Capet). The first battle fought was the battle of Aix in which Duke Estiano lost. The war quickly turns around as Estiano’s half-sister (Adelinda Celtica) , the Duchess of Nordmark and Ostmark seized the Kingdoms of Bohemia and Germany declared herself to be the Holy Roman Empress. After the revolt, The King of The Two Sicilies quickly declared himself to be neutral in the conflict. After many great battles fought all over the Empire over a five year period, the battles began to focus on the Emperor’s own homeland in Swabia, Bavaria and Burgundy. The deciding battle of the war was fought five years before the fall of Mäckerbourg. It was the battle of Helvetii. The battle lasted for about five weeks with either side only gaining a few inches at a time. During the battle, Duke Estiano died and left his possessions to Adelinda. After the battle, the Emperor spent most of his time running away or trying to make peace. After the sacking of the Emperor’s own castle the Emperor was forced abdicate in favor of the new Empress Adelinda. |
